2022-2023 SECONDARY Schools of Choice Information

C-A Schools of Choice Secondary (6-12) Application

Applications and Behavior History are due by Tuesday, August 16.

Carman-Ainsworth Community School District is accepting applications for enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year for students who do not reside within the district’s boundaries.

There are unlimited openings for grades 6-12. A separate application must be completed for each student.

Approvals and denials are determined on the basis of an in-school student behavior review; therefore, applications missing behavior reports from any portion of the 2019-20, 2020-21 or 2021-22 school years will be considered incomplete and will not be accepted until all missing documents are provided. All documentation must be submitted by the application deadline in order to be reviewed.

  • We have behavior for years/semesters students were enrolled in our district
  • For students with no behavior to report, please provide documentation signed by a school representative on district letterhead indicating “no behavior incidents” as well as dates of enrollment

Carman-Ainsworth reserves the right to refuse acceptance of students who have been suspended within the past two years of physical attendance, expelled at any time, withdrew to avoid suspension or expulsion, or convicted of a felony.

Accepted Schools of Choice students are allowed continuous enrollment in Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools as nonresidents through graduation unless the student withdraws from C-A Schools or is expelled.

Transportation is NOT provided for Schools of Choice students. Parents must provide transportation to and from school.

*If you are unable to complete the application online, you may obtain a paper copy at our Administration Office during the above dates.

Please email the student’s full behavior history to, fax to 810-591-3323 or deposit in the secure dropbox outside our Administration Office at G-3475 W. Court St., Flint, MI  48532 (corner of Court and Graham streets).

Parents/Guardians will be emailed a notification letter of acceptance or denial no later than Friday, August 19. Accepted students will receive instructions for enrollment.
