CACS COVID-19 Update 03/26/20

March 26, 2020 - COVID-19 Update

Carman-Ainsworth Staff, Students and Families,

The following are a few updates for you during the state-mandated school closure:

  • In order to keep our staff and volunteers safe, we are restructuring the way we will distribute meals. We will have meals available beginning Monday, March 30, 2020 and Wednesday, April 1, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Carman-Ainsworth High School and Carman-Ainsworth Middle School. We anticipate continuing the Monday/Wednesday schedule through Monday, April 13; please watch for updates on social media and the district website,
  • With the help of our instructional staff, we continue to update our list of resources for parents to use at home with their students. You can access the information on our website:
  • We are following the Michigan Department of Education’s guidance and will be offering supplemental learning opportunities ONLY for our students. The Department of Education has reminded school districts that there is no mechanism to earn instructional time during a period of mandated school closure. While we encourage students and parents to participate in activities and seek additional learning opportunities, any suggestions from teachers are merely that - suggestions. All items that are provided by the district are voluntary and optional; there will be no grading or required assignments.

Thank you for your patience and support as we navigate through these times together.

Stay Safe. Stay Healthy. Stay CA Strong.
