Cathy McGilvery, the Superintendent of Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools since July 1, 2021, sets the vision and direction for the district. Cathy began her academic career as a Kindergartner at Woodland Elementary School and is a graduate of Carman High School, University of Michigan - Flint and Eastern Michigan University. Cathy and her husband, who also graduated from Carman High School, have three children who graduated from Carman-Ainsworth High School. Cathy has enjoyed a career at Carman-Ainsworth as a teacher, counselor and administrator for 39 years.
Message from the Superintendent
Welcome to Carman-Ainsworth Schools, where we are focused on doing what is best for children. We are fortunate to have a strong, proven staff at Carman-Ainsworth to ensure every child achieves at their highest academic capacity and become productive citizens. I have every confidence that our staff will continue to build positive relationships that support academic and social-emotional growth.
I am proud to be the Superintendent of Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools, a special place where parents, teachers, staff and the community care for each other. I look forward to working collaboratively alongside all stakeholders to create inclusive and equitable school environments where social and emotional learning and academic excellence thrive.
