We welcome our middle school students and families!

On behalf of the administration and staff at Carman-Ainsworth Middle School, we welcome you to an exciting school year filled with new opportunities. We have strengthened our course offerings to make sure that our students are prepared to meet the challenges presented by Michigan's new merit curriculum.

Our after-school programs, facilitated by YouthQuest, extend upon our daily curriculum and support our students' academic and social needs. There are also mentoring opportunities provided by a local community organization.

It is imperative that all of our students come to school prepared to work to the best of their ability and take advantage of the academic and extra-curricular activities that our educational program has to offer. Ultimately, it is our goal for all of the students at Carman-Ainsworth Middle School to have success academically along with an enjoyable experience during their tenure here.

During orientation, you will be provided with a packet of forms that must be completed and returned to the appropriate station. After the forms have been completed and returned, you will receive your student’s schedule. Once you receive your student’s schedule feel free to tour the building to locate the classrooms. Schedules will not be mailed home. Please have your student bring his or her schedule the first day of school; additional schedules will not be issued.

The first month of school, your child will be given a student handbook. Please review the student handbook with your child. It is very important that each and every Carman-Ainsworth Middle School Student understands the school’s policies and procedures.

We look forward to working collectively with you to ensure that your child has a successful experience at Carman-Ainsworth Middle School.
