Carman-Ainsworth Middle School is partnering with Easter Seals of Michigan to provide therapeutic services to students at CAMS.
Julie Doyle LMSW, is an experienced clinician, chosen for her expertise with working with youth, experience in a school setting and in trauma informed care. Julie will see students on a referral basis at an office within CAMS. She will be supported by Katie Hendricks, Clinical Supervisor and Katie Kogelmann, Director of Genesee Family Services.
Parents will be contacted by a counselor before any student is referred to Easter Seals of Michigan. Easter Seals of Michigan bills Medicaid, Medicare and most other insurances. Registration (intake) with Easter Seals can be done at the school or the local Easter Seals office, and will require a guardian to be present. We hope that this additional service will allow students that have therapy needs to see a licensed and trusted individual while relieving issues such as transportation and scheduling that might interfere with a student getting the support they need. Holly and Clarkston schools both have similar partnerships with Easter Seals.
