Dear Parents and Guardians:
We are pleased to inform you that Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools will once again be participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) as part of the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the 2024 – 2025 school year. All students enrolled at Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools will continue to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at no charge each day.
A condition of the CEP program is completion of the Education Benefits Form (formerly named household Information report). The Education Benefits Form collects information needed to ensure the school receives state and federal funding for education programs. Without this information, Carman-Ainsworth Community Schools could lose important funding for education programs that our students need.
Why is Carman-Ainsworth requesting this information? The Education Benefits Form determines eligibility of a student or household. The total count of eligible students is used to determine the funding amounts that will be made available to a school.
What do I need to do? Please complete the Education Benefits Form located in your student's school office or online at carman.familyportal.cloud; you should return paper copies to your student's home school or to the Food Service Department.
What else might my student or household be eligible for? Based on the information you provide on your Education Benefits Form, your child may qualify for other programs such as potential household support for cable and internet.
If you have any questions, please contact 810-591-3220.
Sincerely yours,
Jennifer A. Yee, SNS
