Students are REQUIRED to keep an Interactive Student Notebook (ISN) as part of their Geometry/Algebra II grade.
Not all notebooks as created equally!!
The most important qualities to think about when selecting your notebook for this class is that it be heavy-duty and large enough to accommodate adding 8.5"x11" sheets of paper with only minimal trimming. Mead Five Star® has a large selection of notebooks that are reasonably priced and I have included a few pictures for reference below, however these are not the only suitable choices, so shop around! Sam's Club currently has a 3-pack of 3-subject notebooks (online & in store) for $9.99, this may be an ideal opportunity since many classes at Carman-Ainsworth High School will require an ISN.
Mead Five Star® notebooks (as well as comparable brands) are available in 1, 3, 5 subject notebooks. A 3-subject notebook will last for approximately one semester.
In fact, it doesn't even have to be a notebook!
You may also want to consider a 3-ring binder instead of a notebook. I would recommend a 1.5-2" durable binder. Mead Five Star®also makes a product called the Five Star Flex® Hybrid Notebinder® that is ideal for the ISN (it's what you might find Mrs. Thomas toting!) For student convenience, most papers handed out in class will also be 3-hole punched.
