OBJECTIVE:To gain a better understanding of how current events apply to the study of sociology.
All assignments will be typed in Word 2003 (or at least saved as a Word 2003 or a PDF file) and submitted through Blackboard.
· Locate sixteen articles from online periodicals or traditional magazines & newspapers that relate to sociology or have a sociological perspective then read & respond through summation & critique.
You should have two (2) articles from each of the following areas:
- Inequality in Society
- Political & Economic Institutions
- Science & Technology
- Social Change
·The Title Page should include the Title of the Project, Student’s Name, Teacher’s Name (Mr. Dupuis), Subject/Hour, Due Date.
· The Abstract should be a summary of the project. The abstract should include a summary of what you have learned, new sociological perspectives that you have gained, ideas you have about sociology and the media, and a general overview of your project.
· APA Documentation for each article must be present for each article. All articles must be current for this semester, January 2016 to Now.
·Summarize each article in paragraph form using interrogative questions (who, what, where, when, why), describe how it relates to the subtopic, and include a critique paragraph of the article (your opinion).
You should place a title on the top of the page (example; Culture & Social Change) and organize the binder alphabetically by subtopic. See example below!!
