    Course Overview

    This course is for students who have completed Medicine & Health Care 1 or Principles of Biomedical Science with a B grade or better. This course focuses on advanced skills in anatomy and pathophysiology and is fast-paced. Independent learning skills,critical-thinking, organization and college-preparation as well as teamwork skills are emphasized in this college-level course. Students will learn advanced skills in spirometry, forensic anthropology, DNA electrophoresis, electrocardiography and phlebotomy, as well as perform organ dissections in this course. Students can also earn college credit through the articulation programs with UM-Flint, Mott Community College, Baker College, Oakland Community College, Ferris State University, and Davenport University upon the successful completion of this course. Successful completion is indicated by a students earning a minimum of an 80% in BOTH the course and the National Exam at the end of the year.
