Free & Reduced Meals

Free and Reduced applications must be submitted each school year. Students who received free or reduced meals during the previous school year are eligible for free or reduced meals for the first 30 days of the new school year. New applications must be completed and approved before September 30 for benefits to continue. If the application has not been turned in or approved by the above date your child’s meal status will revert to paid and you will be responsible for the meals provided.

Should you have any questions, please contact the Food Service Department at 591-3220.

Computerized Meal System

Our student nutrition program uses a computerized point of sale system. Computers are used to track and report information required by Federal and State regulations regarding the National School Lunch Program.

At the elementary level, if a student depletes his/her account of money a charge would be allowed. Only two (2) charges are permitted to an account. Secondary students are not permitted to charge meals.

Lunch Program

Our student nutrition program provides a variety of nutritious meals every day. Students may choose one of two entrée’s offered along with a choice of vegetables, fruit and milk.

Last school year we served 515,587 lunches and 197,898 breakfasts. Those numbers do not include individual pizzas, sandwiches, etc., sold ala carte.

Students at the Middle School and Senior High have a milk machine in which they may purchase pints of milk in flavors white, chocolate, strawberry and root beer. We also offer a variety of drinks, such as 100% fruits juices — apple, orange, grape, fruit punch. Water and flavored waters, Gatorades, power aide, twister drinks etc.
