Please allow all 8th grade Band and Orchestra students who are participating in this evening’s celebration to go get their instruments during 6th hour.
There will be no YouthQuest program today due to Staff Professional Day.
There will be a mandatory Yearbook meeting today right after school from 3-3:20p.m. with Ms. Cottrill.
Attention 8th grade students. You’re invited to the 8th grade celebration tonight, at the High School. Students should arrive at the High School at 5:30 p.m. and wear your class t-shirts or a solid black shirt with dress slacks, nice jeans or Khakis. All students who attend will be entered in a drawing for prizes. We have more than 50 individual prizes to give away! You must be present to claim your prize. The celebration will be followed by cookies and refreshments.
Attention Track members, your banquet will be tomorrow right after school. Please turn in $3.00 to your coach, no later than today if you are planning to attend. Pizza & pop will be served. Have your ride ready to pick you up at 4p.m.
Reminder that all Media Center books are due back tomorrow. Please return your materials and take care of any outstanding fines.
Reminder to 8th graders: tomorrow is your last chance to sign-up for student council at the High School. You will not be given another chance next year because meetings start in the summer. If you want to be part of the planning committee for things such as the Homecoming Parade, the King and Queens Court, Prom, Pep Assemblies and other student activities get your petition into Mrs. O'Brien or Mr. Ward by tomorrow May 25th.
There will be a celebration for all students with NO REFERRALS for 2nd semester on Tuesday, May 28th. Weather permitting; we will be outside playing games, listening to music, eating treats. Congrats for following CA ROCKS and being positive role models at CAMS. Lists will be posted by the end of the day on Friday.
Attention all boys interested in playing Basketball here at the Middle School and High School next year. There will be a meeting this week-date and time to be determined with one of the coaches from the High School to discuss summer league and camp opportunities. In order to participate in this meeting you must sign up. If you have any questions please contact Mr. Summey.
Attention 8th grade girls interested in trying out for the Freshmen Cheerleading team for the fall season: Group tryouts will be held today and tomorrow from 6-8p.m. in the High School Gymnasium. You must have a current physical on file in order to tryout!
Attention all girls in 6th and 7th grade who are interested in trying out for the Fall 7th & 8th grade cheer teams. Tryouts will be held next Tuesday, May 28th through Thursday, May 30th from 3:00 to 5:00 at the Middle School. Group tryouts will be held on Friday, May 31st. Again these tryouts are for girls who are interested in cheering in the Fall on the 7th & 8th grade squads.
8th grade girls interested in summer Volleyball and trying out for next year’s Freshman Volleyball team, please pick up a flyer outside the Main Office.
Students and Staff: PBS Team will be holding a contest for the entire Middle School. The grade with the fewest referrals (behavior and tardy) for the month of May will win an afternoon of fun here at CAMS. There will be games, music, treats, etc. Who will win, will it be the 6th, 7th or 8th grade. It’s up to you!!! Currently 6th grade and 8th grade are running neck and neck, but 8th grade is in 1st place, 6th grade is in 2nd place and 7th grade is in 3rd place. One week till we announce the winner!!
There will be a free movie and dinner night sponsor by Men at Work next Thursday May 30th starting at 5:30p.m. Students must be accompanied by an adult and they must R.S.V.P. to Mrs. Idalski in the Guidance Office.
